I got all riled up about writing again, wrote a few posts, came up with a pile of great ideas...then I went on vacation and lost my momentum.
I mean, I love summer - everybody does. The heat, the sunshine, the vacations, gin and tonic on the deck, warm nights, open-toed shoes - I mean, who wouldn't love it.
Yet, it's just so damn hard to get anything done.
It's too hot, there are places to go, people to see, farmers markets to hit, drinks to be drunk, BBQs to attend and of course, those pesky vacations where I swear I'm going to devote an hour every day to writing...but instead all I do is sit on the deck and read the latest murder mystery.
And even now that I'm back, I feel very unmotivated to do anything. It feels like everybody I know is either on vacation, going on vacation or just coming back from vacation and nobody really wants to do anything...myself included.
I have to say, that's why I look forward to September and the fall - turning over a new leaf (so to speak) and getting geared up again to MAKE SHIT HAPPEN (my new mantra).
I wrote about this exact same thing last August so at least I'm consistent. Enough said.
